Keep The Glow Alive!

spiritual coachingThe light of GLOW has played its part in the human story over many centuries.

The notion that ‘all the concentrated darkness in the world cannot put out the light of a single candle’ pays homage to GLOW.

What is it about GLOW that means it cannot be extinguished?

Like the sacredness of the Olympic flame, eternal light symbol of the Games and the Greek ideal.

Lights that cannot and will not go out, not by themselves. But through human consciousness, acts of upholdance keep the flame alive.

To keep the GLOW alive… Why?

Because somehow we KNOW, know of this symbolic resonance intuitively.

As if the GLOW is coded and engraved in us at a deeper level, fundamental to the human experience, here in this part of the universe.

Like a contract between the human and the Gods that we will be keepers and maintainers of the GLOW.

Because without GLOW, what is there?

And what is the manifestation of GLOW in daily life?

It’s in

  • Compassion
  • Acts of Kindness
  • Thoughtfulness
  • Self-care
  • Giving without counting the cost
  • Thinking of others
  • Generosities
  • Warmths and other heartful sentiments that show the best of being human.

The GLOW is a simple thing.

It’s perhaps what binds humans, and brings us together in a collective yes.

It has spanned the ages.

And will continue to span the future ages.

If by our hands we let it be so.

Within each and everyone of us is GLOW.

No one can put out that light. Except oneself.

Let the GLOW live!

NOTE: This post is aligned towards The GLOW. The Light of Warmth.

Keep The Glow Alive!

Spiritual CoachingGlow is one of our fundamental lights.

When Glow is active, it’s a sign and a signal to all the other inner lights that all is well in the House of Lights.

When Glow is switched off, or dimmed, it can create stress on other lights such as Glisten, that then have to work extra hard to ensure our inter-connected network remains lit.

And eventually this can lead to burnout and exhaustion.

Keeping and maintaining the Glow is therefore important.

Glow is associated with doing things that you love to do.

But in times when so many of our external recreational and social options are closed off to us, how do we keep the Glow alive?

Well, imagery is one way.

One of the main imagery props for Glow is that of the lighted candle.

The candle plays a remarkable role in keeping Glow alive.

For it is said that all the concentrated darkness in the world cannot put out the light of a single candle.

Which tells you a lot about the enduring nature of Glow and its part in the human story.

As do people. For people can remind us of the best of who we are.

For to think the best of a friend is an act of Glow. For Glow is the light that emits from the heart.

So…Imagine that a loyal friend has appeared before you and has brought you a gift of a lighted candle.

The candle brings warmth and a sense of inclusion.

Your friend stands nearby with the candle, unwavering in their supportive attitude towards you.

As you breathe in and appreciate that you are not alone, a second loyal friend appears, also with a lighted candle.

They have the same supportive unwavering attitude as the first friend.

They stand nearby the first friend. Now there are two lit lights, which enhances the sense of warmth and increasing inclusion.

Shortly a third friend arrives, again with the same supportive attitude. And with a lighted candle.

The three friends form a small arc of lighted support.

Shortly afterwards they are joined by a person you don’t recognise. But they know you.

Many years ago you afforded them an act of kindness, which they haven’t forgotten about. And now, upon hearing the calling, they are here, unconditionally, with a lighted candle.

And they have brought with them an appreciative friend, who is grateful that one day someone was there for their friend. And they too have brought a lighted candle.

So now there are five good people, with candles, offering fulsome support.

Another person appears, again who you only have a fleeting remembrance of.

But they too were blessed by one of your many acts kindnesses, and are moved to repeat the kindness.

The gathering of people with lighted candles is growing. Two people have arrived because they were naturally drawn by the warming light, and wanted to add to it with light of their own.

The next visitors come in a group of three and come from a time before you were born.

But nevertheless they know of you. For time places no limit upon connection.

And they know of you by frequency. For they sense a mutuality of values. You stand for the same things and they are summoned to support your life and endeavour.

And now there is a surprise visitor. It is yourself bringing a candle for you. You might wonder why you are bringing a candle for you. Well, wouldn’t you want to give support to you? Bring the light of Glow so that Glow may live in you.

So then there was twelve.

The group of people, many of whom you have never met before, stand quietly.

There is no need to speak. The atmosphere is one of unconditional support.

Glow does not speak loudly to announce itself. By its very name and nature Glow carries the weight of its character very lightly.

And brings us into a natural state of settlement and gentle well being.

So be with the abiding Glow. There is no hurry to leave or move on.

The presence of Glow will be reassuring to the other lights. And an air of settlement can fall upon the House of Lights.

Glow is always there, always nearby. But it can get dimmed in the exigencies of life.

May you, in all your days, keep the GLOW alive!

Keep The Glow Alive!

Postcards From The Lights: Glow (The Light of Compassion) The light of Glow has played a fundamental part in the human story. Maybe it’s what binds us together as humans?

Glow, Love and The Code!

It is said that you glow when you love what you are doing? But why is this?

The Code

Is it the love that causes the Glow? Well, yes, that’s very likely. But what if the love is a result of your code getting switched on?

Your code being the unique combinations of ingredients, that make you the only you that has ever been in the history of life in the universe.

To discover your code is one of the great joys of living. Because your code is a mystery from day one.

Then you start engaging with life, and discovering things that fascinate you and take your interest.

A Love Of Dance

Maybe you discover a love of dance from an early age. Well what if the code for dance, rhythm and movement got switched on in you? Maybe triggered by seeing some amazing dancing at a show or on TV.

The code seeded into you by the divine influence, so that you could bring light into this part of the universe.

But also, being given the gift of discovering all this for yourself.

So that when you dance, that code for dancing gets switched on in you. And when the coded light gets switched on, you glow, because when the divine seeded the code in you, it did so with Glow. Or with unconditional love!

The Trace Of Life

So when you look back at the trace of your life, you can find many moments when you glowed. Doing things you loved to do. These moments of Glow are clues that reveal the code of you.

Discover the code. Discover you! And make the Glow glow!

The Glow Maintenance

Imagine that you live in a house that has a room dedicated to each aspect of your life.

So for example, your Work / Vocation life:

  • Relationships
  • Financial
  • Creative
  • New Learning
  • Personal Growth
  • Adventures
  • Health and Well Being.

These are just a few. We have many.

How Much Glow?

And as you walk around each room of the house, you are assessing as to how much Glow there is in each room.

Some rooms may have lots of Glow. The rooms that glow feel welcoming, warming, inviting.

In others the Glow may be very low, and needs some attention. Rooms without Glow feel cold, a bit empty, starved of attention.

If the room feels low on Glow, can you imagine it starting to fill with Glowing light? Perhaps the room can be lit with night lights to bring it some Glow. Maybe the windows need opening first, to let some fresh air in, and the old air out.

So the task here is to:

1: Write down all the rooms in your ‘personal life’ house.

2: Mentally walk around each room and mark out of 10 how much Glow there is in each room.

3: If a room is low on Glow, decide what is needed to bring some Glow back, e.g. open windows; night lights; a crackling fire; fresh colours, flowers, friends, artwork in the room. Or mentally write the word Glow across the walls.

4: If the room already has a nice Glow, see if you can make the Glow even brighter. Magnify the light until it feels like it has come alive!

5: Take a walk around the front and back of the house, to see if the Glow is feelable from the outside.

The purpose of this Glow Maintenance exercise, is to always be keeping the Glow alive.

In the demands of daily life, it can be possible to neglect some of our rooms, and fail to notice the light becoming fainter. Keeping the Glow alive enhances our well-being and sense of self, and is the trigger for many of the other lights.
